In the publisher's original cloth. The first edition was published in at least three bindings, with various levels of ornamentation, with this being the variant with a gilt emblem to the spine and front.
Written by the pioneering adventure fiction and lost world writer, H. Rider Haggard. In the sequel to Haggard's extremely popular novel, She, the reader is plunged into a story set in Tibet after Horace Holly encounters a manuscript containing a second memoir about Ayesha.
Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece and thirty-one monochrome plates. Collated, complete.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth. Externally smart with a slight lean, minor edge wear and slight damp staining to the head of the front board. Lacking front free endpaper, with offsetting to the rear. Internally generally firmly bound with the odd page starting with bright pages and the odd spot.
