What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

First edition.

Featuring 20 colour plates by William Smith Jr. Collated complete.

This work eloquently describes Abbotsford, the historic home of the famous Sir Walter Scott, situated in the Scottish Borders. Scott took ownership of the land that would become Abbotsford in 1811 and, once the build was completed, resided there from 1824 until his death in 1832.

Written by W. S. Crockett, a Scottish minister and writer who specialised in similar texts on Sir Walter Scott and Scotland.

Condition
