A detailed biography on the life and work of eighteenth century painter George Morland, written by the renowned fellow late eighteenth-early nineteenth century  painter, George Dawe. George Morland was an English painter known for his paintings of rustic scenes inspired by the Dutch golden age paintings.

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with fading to the spine and extremities, with minimal wear to the extremities of the boards. Light offsetting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages.
