Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

A very scarce work.

Twelve issues of 'The King's Herald' in one volume, for January to December 1904, with a continuous pagination.

This magazine was for the Lansdowne Evangelical Free Church, a church and lecture hall in West Norwood, founded in 1891. 

'The King's Herald' contains sermons preached at the church, alongside articles on their missionary work, written by people such as Reverend W. H. Watson, and Mrs. Karl Mascher.

Edited and with contributions by William Fuller Gooch, who was the pastor of the church from 1891 to 1921.

Prior owner's ink inscription to the front paste down, 'Miss Cook, 22/6/05'.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light mark to the front board. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is a little faded. Front hinge is starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the front paste down. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with scattered spots.
