The third edition of this work in the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Illustrated with a frontispiece and thirteen further plates, and numerous in-text illustrations by H. M. Brock and H. Tringham. Collated, complete. The Badminton Library of Sports and Pastimes was a sporting project edited by the 8th Duke of Beaufort, intended to cover all sports in an extensive collection of works. This work covers all aspects of motoring, including how to choose a car and the appropriate driving clothes. This work was written by Alfred Charles William Harmsworth, 1st Viscount Northcliffe (1865-1922), the greatly influential British newspaper and publishing magnate, and many other contributors, including the Hon. John Scott-Montagu, the Hon. C. S. Rolls, and the Marquis de Chasseloup-Laubat, among others.

Condition

In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with shelf wear to the joints, extremities and head and tail of the spines. Offsetting to the end papers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
