A historical and descriptive account of the different styles of clocks and watches of the past in England and abroad, with a list of ten thousand makers. Written by F. J. Britten, a British horologist, considered one of the preeminent horologists of his time. Publisher's advertisements to the rear.

Condition

Bound in half red crushed morocco with cloth covered boards. Externally, smart with minor wear to the extremities and the odd mark to the boards. Light fading to the spine with a light red stain to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting to the first and last few pages.
