With a coloured folding map frontispiece and seven further coloured maps throughout, five of which are also folding. Thirty nine other illustrations, seven of which are monochrome plates. Collated complete.

A comprehensive geographical and geological study of North America, including the topography of the land, climate and animal life. This is the last of the author's published works before his sudden death in 1906.
Author Israel Russell was the professor of geology at the University of Michigan at the time of this work's publishing.
The work is completed with a full index to the rear.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Loss of cloth to the head of spine. Fading to the spine. Marks to the boards. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright with slight offsetting and light spotting to the endpapers. One spot affecting the first few leaves.
