Hailed by the New York Times as one of the best known photographic interpreters of English Architecture, Charles Latham takes us through 74 country homes across England, including Castle Howard, Goodwood House, Knowsley Hall, Longleat, Sandringham and Speke Hall. Latham photographs in a wide variety of stately settings, including gatehouses, dining-rooms, drawing-rooms, halls and stairways.
In English Homes is a first in using photography to capture the splendour of these country homes, allowing the reader to appreciate their intricate details like never before.
Condition
In the publisher's original decorative cloth boards. Externally, damp staining to boards and to the joint of the front board and spine. Bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A sport of dirt near the title, and other small spots of dirt to front board. Signs of rubbing and handling marks. Minimal offsetting to end papers, with just the odd spot. Internally, firmly bound with small signs of wear to the extremities. Pages are bright and generally clean, with the occasional spot of dirt.
