This scarce volume consists of eleven treatises on medicine, health and nutrition by English physician and dietetic reformer Thomas Richard Allinson.
In the original half morocco with cloth boards.
Among other advocacies, Allinson is perhaps best known as a proponent of the nutritional benefits of wholemeal bread, with his original recipe still used today. This particular topic is discussed in more detail in the final essay of this volume.

Condition
In the original half crushed morocco over pebbled cloth boards. Rear board detached but present. Backstrip is split down the centre and heavily worn. With general wear to the board edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with only occasional spots, most of which are concentrated to the first few leaves. 'Wholesome Cookery' is more notably age toned, with chips to the last couple leaves.
