The first edition of this very scarce work

In the publisher's original cloth binding. 

With leaves of publisher's advertisements to the rear of the work. 

This story follows the success of a girl rising above the native marsh lands of which she has grown up in. 

The author prefaces this work by stating whilst it is not a direct sequel of his similar work 'Juicy Joe', comparisons can be drawn for the similarities in setting and personalities.

James Blythe has a plethora of popular and science fiction works credited to his name. He is best known for his Future War novels, in all of which Britain is pitted against Germany. 

He is also well-known for his supernatural novel 'A Haunted Inheritance'.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart. Discolouration and rubbing to the spine, causing small loss to cloth to head and tail. Light scattered spotting, heaviest to the first few pages. Owner's contemporary ink inscription to the front pastedown. Owner's blind stamp to the half title page.
