Illustrated by Sir Frank William Brangwyn, a Welsh artist, painter, watercolourist, printmaker, illustrator and designer. Dreadnoughts of the Dogger: A Story of the War on the North Sea, 1916. Illustrated with a frontispiece and fourteen plates. Collated complete. Set against the backdrop of World War I, this story revolves around young characters, particularly Mark Redisham and his brother Rodney, as they navigate the tensions and dangers associated with naval warfare in the North Sea.
Condition
In the original full green cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spines with the odd small mark to the boards. Front hinge tender to Wreck of the Golden Fleece, lacking front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting and the odd small handling mark.
