Detailing four journeys by Waterton to the Americas from 1812-1824. Waterton makes many observations on the fauna in British Guiana, and their appearance, character and habits. Waterton was a pioneering conservationist, and this is reflected in his writings. 

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of spine as well as to the extremities. A few light marks to boards. Front hinge is strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
