Written by Edward Verrall Lucas, an English humorist, essayist, playwright, biographer, publisher, poet, novelist, short story writer and editor, and his wife Elizabeth Lucas, an English writer with whom he collaborated on several children's books.
Condition
In the original full pictorial cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Light spotting and age toning to the endpapers. With contemporary ink inscriptions to the front endpaper and the appendix.
