What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, Illustrated, Limited Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Uncommon

Dealing with his noteworthy enthusiasm for and knowledge of fox-hunting, Surtees here goes into deep analysis of the sport, taking a rare break from the light-hearted fiction for which he made his name. Collated, complete with thirteen colour plates by Henry Thomas Alken, an English painter and engraver chiefly known as a caricaturist and illustrator of sporting subjects and coaching scenes. This copy is part of a limited printing of 500 copies in this edition.

Condition

In cloth binding with gilt detailing. Externally smart. Very minor wear to extremities and joints only. Internally, generally firmly bound, strained in places. Pages bright and clean throughout with the odd spot to the first and last few pages, and the occasional page.
