1903 Nature's Teachings Human Invention Anticipated by Nature
What Our Customers Say...
Description
Illustrated, Original Binding, Uncommon
An uncommon, new 1903 edition, with a charming red pictorial board cover, that echoes the design of the first edition, and gilt decorations to spine.
In this title, Wood strays somewhat from his traditional observations of the natural world, and presents the hypothesis that humanity's inventions can be seen mirrored in the natural world.
Praised, upon release in 1877, for its appeal to the imagination, and its ability to entice an audience of all ages - through this work, Wood furthers his lifelong goal to increase the accessibility of natural history.
Featuring a monochrome frontispiece, and frequent vignette illustrations throughout.
