    A collection of historical and critical essays by Thomas Babington Macaulay, originally appeared in the influential magazine The Edinburgh Review. Complete in three volumes. Edited by F. C. Montague. 

    Essays include 'Milton,' 'Machiavelli,' 'Southey's Edition of the Pilgrim's Progress,' 'Lord Bacon,' and many others.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's uniform full cloth bindings. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only, lightly bumped to head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Spotting scattered to leaves.
