Illustrated with photographs by Oliver Gregory Pike, a British naturalist, wildlife photographer and early nature documentary pioneer. Including a frontispiece, forty plates and numerous in-text figures. Collated, complete. 

A charming series of observations and studies of birds found in the wild areas of Wales, including sea birds at Tenby, birds of the stream, peregrines in Breconshire and more.

Written by John Arthington Walpole-Bond, an English ornithologist and writer.

Two leaves of advertisements to the rear.

Condition

In the original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, with fading tot he spine and slight rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Ex libris bookplate to the front pastedown, bearing no name. Internally, firmly bound. With offsetting and spots to the endpapers, otherwise contents are bright and clean.
