The second edition of this scarce volume, published in the same year as the first. 

In the original cloth binding. 

Theresa Earle, nicknamed "Radical Theresa" by her family, was a British horticulturist who published three Pot-Pourri gardening guides starting in 1897 (this volume preceded by 'Pot-Pourri from a Surrey Garden' and 'More Pot-Pourri from a Surrey Garden'). 

This instalment covers diet, health and vegetarianism, the latter of which Earle advocated for in her later book 'Diet Difficulties with Notes on Growing Vegetables' (1908). The final section of contains the last letters home of Earle's son Sydney, a captain in the Coldstream Guards, who was killed late in 1899 during the Boer War.


Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with rubbing and bumping to the extremities. A couple white marks to the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with the odd spot.
