Three volumes. Written by Joseph Rudyard Kipling, an English journalist, novelist, poet, and short-story writer best known for The Jungle Book, the Just So Stories, and Kim. This set includes: The Five Nations, 1903. First edition. A collection of poetry focused on the five nations, which were suggested to be "five free nations of Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and 'the islands of the sea'." The poems are divided into two with the first section covering a wide range of subjects and the second titled "Service Songs", relating to the common experiences of British soldiers around the turn of the century.
