In the publisher's original pictorial cloth bindings. Highways and Hedges (1911). A reflective and picturesque exploration of England’s idyllic country roads and hedgerows, written by Herbert A. Morrah. The book features philosophical musings on the English way of life, enhanced by a tipped-in colour frontispiece and nineteen tipped-in colour plates by Berenger Benger (1868–1935), who studied under Charles Verlat at the Academy in Antwerp. Gardens of England (1911). This is the first edition, new impression. First published in 1908. A visually captivating guide to English gardens, authored by E. T. Cook. The book discusses various garden types, including cottage and herb gardens, as well as seasonal gardening. Illustrated by Beatrice Parsons, it includes a colour frontispiece and nineteen colour plates. Collated and complete.

Happy England (1903). Showcasing the charming watercolours of renowned British artist and illustrator Helen Allingham, this volume is accompanied by descriptive text and a memoir by Marcus B. Huish. Allingham, a celebrated graduate of the Royal Academy School (later the Royal College of Art), gained recognition for her illustrations in Thomas Hardy’s Far from the Madding Crowd, published in Cornhill Magazine in 1874.

In the publisher's original pictorial cloth bindings. Externally, very smart. Boards and spines of Highways and Happy England slightly faded. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. slight rubbing to boards with one or two very slight handling marks. Slight damp staining to spine and rear board of "Happy England", with small bookseller's label to front paste down. Previous owner's ink inscription to front free endpaper of "Gardens of England". Scattered spotting to endpapers of "Highways" and "Happy", with one or two spots to "Gardens". Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with the odd spot, heavier to fore edge and first and last few leaves.
