A new impression of this work. Novel by Arthur Conan Doyle, first published in 1895. Composed of twelve long letters written from J. Stark Munro to his friend Herbert Swanborough between 1881 and 1884. 

With frontispiece and vignette illustration to title page. 

This work is mentioned in the 'Ithaca' chapter of James Joyce's 'Ulysses'.

Condition

In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally very smart with minor bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities, light rubbing to joints. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean.
