This volume is an exceptionally scarce first edition, privately printed for the Parish Register Society.
This is an extensive and carefully transcribed account of the registers originally held in Headon parish, covering detailed records of baptisms, marriages, burials, banns, and churchwardens’ accounts from 1566-1812, tracing Headon, Upton, and Thorpe parish lineages between the 16th and early 19th centuries.
Condition
In the original signed cloth binding by Birdsall & Son. Externally, very smart. Very slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. Very minor rubbing and bumping to extremities. Bookplate from "Robert Washington Oates" to front paste down. Small bookseller's label to front paste down. Offsetting to endpapers. Previous owner's small blind stamp to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with one or two spots to fore edge.
