Elizabeth Thomasina Meade Smith (1844–1914), known by her pen name L. T. Meade, was a remarkably prolific author of girls’ fiction. Born in Bandon, County Cork, Ireland, she began writing at the age of 17 and went on to publish over 280 books during her lifetime.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. The odd slight handling mark to boards with the odd slight scratch. Slight soiling to boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with the odd spot, heavier to first and last few leaves.
