    Description

    Leather Binding, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

    German. Eight volumes. Scarce works. The official horse racing calendar for Austria, published under the auspices of the Jockey Club for Austria. With chapters on race locations, racing committees, rules for betting, stud farms, statistical observations, a list of previous winners, owner colours, trainers, and more. This collection contains the calendars for the years 1902, 1903, 1905, 1908, 1909, 1910, 1911, and 1913. With an alphabetical list of race courses in Austria-Hungary at the time of publication. Produced by the secretary of the Jockey Club for Austria, an enterprise for horse racing and the breeding of Austrian thoroughbreds in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

    Condition

    In the original full calf binding. Externally, smart with light wear to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Light fading to the spines. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Minor spotting and light age toning to the endpapers with a contemporary ink stamp to the front endpaper.
