Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

E. Nesbit follows the Bastable children to the Red House in Blackheath, where they try to turn their garden into a jungle and act out scenes from The Jungle Book, causing mayhem. As punishment, they are sent to spend the summer at Moat House in the countryside.

Edith Nesbit was one of the most popular children's authors during the Edwardian era, and is still perhaps best known for 1906 novel 'The Railway Children'.
