Binding signed by Bumpus bindery to front paste down.

With detailed gilt decoration to the spine, complete with marbled endpapers, this is a beautifully bound copy of Arnold's most celebrated poetry.

This collection includes the popular works, 'Dover Beach' and 'Thyrsis', along with a portrait frontispiece of the author.

Condition

In half vellum with green cloth boards. Binding signed by Bumpus bindery to front paste down. Externally, smart, with vellum discoloured and age toned to boards and spine. Marks and spotting to vellum and boards. Fading to cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Front hinge strained. Pages clean and bright but slightly age toned. Marbled endpapers.
