First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

First Edition.

Illustrations include a frontispiece and fifty-three photographs, most of which were taken by the author.

This is an informative work on photography which offers instructions on how to effectively capture photographs of a range of different animal species. 

Contents include 'Apparatus and Materials', 'The Photography of Mammals and Birds', 'The Photography of Reptiles', and 'Decorative Natural History Work'. 

Written by Douglas English (1870-1939), a visual artist who wrote other works such as 'Friends of Mankind: A Study of Our Domestic Animals' and ''Wee Tim'rous Beasties': Studies of Animal Life and Character'. 

Collated, complete.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Minimal wear to extremities and to the spine, particularly the head of spine. Light age-toning to paste downs and endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout the text.
