Written by G. A. Henty, an English novelist and war correspondent who is best known for a prolific output of historical and adventure novels, earning him his reputation as the most popular Boy's author of his day, and inspiring other other writers to attempt writing juvenile adventure stories in his style, including Herbert Strang, Percy F. Westerman and Henry Everett McNeil.
Condition
In the publisher's decorative cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with mild rubbing and bumping to the extremities and the odd faint mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with light spotting to the first and last couple leaves.
