With numerous black and white illustrations by Th. Kittelsen and Erik Werenskiold, with a frontispiece by Carl Larsson. Collated, complete.

Baron G. Djurklou, whose full name was Nils Gabriel Djurklou (1829–1904), was a Swedish nobleman, archaeologist, and folklorist known for collecting and publishing Swedish folk tales.

With two pages of original publisher's advertisements to the rear of the work.

Condition

In the publisher's original pictorial cloth. Externally, generally smart with marks to the boards, and fading and discolouration to cloth. Shelf wear to joints and extremities, with bumping to spine. Internally, generally firmly bound. Front hinge becoming strained and rear hinge cracked and very strained. Pages age toned with the odd mark. Contemporary ink inscription to front free end paper.
