What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

First edition. An exciting tale of boyish adventure and the journey to manhood. This tale of horses and cattle is interspersed with myth, philosophy, and Biblical allegory. Written by Melville Davisson Post, an American writer. Although his name is not immediately familiar to those outside of specialist circles, many of his collections are still in print. He is best known for creating the character of Uncle Abner, a mystery solving, justice dispensing West Virginian backwoodsman.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with minor rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot and light age toning to the endpapers.
