What Our Customers Say...

Description

Illustrated, Leather Binding, Limited Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Signed, Very Scarce

A very scarce Edition de Luxe of this work, one of only 300 copies produced with a binding in the style of the family bible, with full morocco, gilt detailing, and with brass corners and clasps in full working order.

Compiled by William Eden Hooper, this work combines a serious financial history of the London Stock Exchange by Charles Duguid, with discussion of the activities of members, and autobiographical accounts of such members.

The publication features plates from illustrators Joseph Pennell and Dudley Hardy, including sixty-three photogravures and twenty-four further plates. Collated, complete.

With one plate signed in pencil by Joseph Pennell, and another signed by Dudley Hardy.

An 'Edition Ordinaire' of 1,000 copies in vellum was also published.

A wonderful celebration of the London Stock Exchange.

Condition

In the publisher's original full morocco binding with extensive gilt detailing, and brass clasps and corners, in full working order.
