Previous owner's ink inscription to the front board.

Illustrated with seven beautiful colour plates with gilt detailing. Collated, complete.

A booklet containing passages from the Bible on the infancy of Jesus Christ, including:
The annunciation of our Lord (Luke i, 26-31)
The angel proclaiming the birth of Christ (Luke ii, 8-12)
The adoration of our Lord by the shepherds (Luke ii, 15-18)
The adoration of the Magi (Matthew ii, 1-11)
The presentation in the temple (Luke ii, 25-28)
The flight into Egypt (Matthew ii, 13-15)
Our Lord with the doctors in the temple (Luke ii, 43-45)

With lovely illustrations adorning each passage.

Undated, dated through copies held at the University of Oxford Libraries.

Condition

In a quarter cloth binding with the original pictorial paper boards. Externally, generally smart. A little faded and soiled to the boards. Staples are rusting. Pages 9 and 10 are loosening. Otherwise, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
