This collection is comprised of fifteen supernatural tales, with particular focus on people coming back from the dead, either as a memory or as a spirit. Quiller-Couch explores the emotional and psychological impact of these returns, creating a space where the past meets the present.

Condition
Bound in the original cloth rebacked, with a contemporary spine. Externally, very good, with light bumping to the extremities and the odd mark to cloth. Pencil inscription to front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with just the odd spot.
