Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart, with light rubbing to the extremities, and minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Hinges are a little strained, front hinge more so. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Dust wrapper has been amateurly repaired with plain paper replacing most of the backstrip. Wear to the extremities of the wraps, with loss of paper, and many tape repairs, including repairs to the reverse. Some light marks to the dust wrapper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with a few light handling marks. Tape repair to the gutter of a few pages, including to the title page. One plate is detached but present, as are the front endpaper, half-title, and frontispiece.
