Complete in two volumes, handsomely bound in half morocco.

The 'Memorial Edition', one of twenty-five presentation copies produced, numbered 1251 to 1275. This copy is numbered 1252.

An informative biography of Washington from American historian, archivist and editor Worthington Chauncey Ford.

Illustrated with a colour frontispiece to each volume, with a further eleven plates to volume I, and a further eleven to volume II. Collated, complete.

Condition

In half morocco bindings, with marbled paper covered boards. Externally, vibrant. Light rubbing to back strip heads and tails, with head of rear joint of volume I starting, and board firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright.
