The scarce volume XVII of this periodical, containing issued from November 1899 to April 1900.
A first edition.
Founded in 1891 by engineer and publisher Louis Cassier, this periodical devoted to engineering, mechanics, this work combined detailed articles on contemporary engineering achievements with illustrations, diagrams, and photographs.
Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece, and with numerous full page and vignette illustrations throughout.
Articles present in this volume include 'British Tramway Development', 'Progress in Aerial Transportation', 'Factory Heating', and 'The British Engineers' Strike of 1897-98'.
Condition
In a half morocco binding with cloth covered boards. Light handling marks to boards, with rubbing to morocco of board fore edges, and minor loss to back strip head and tail. Front joint tail starting, with board firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright.
