A family and business history of the Gurney's Bank, a family-run bank founded by members of the Gurney family in 1770 and based in Norwich, England. With biographical coverage of the family's lives, the impact of laws such as the Bank Restriction Act and the bank's partners and merging with Barclays in 1896.

With a frontispiece and forty-two monochrome plates. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with occasional spots, heaviest to the first few leaves.
