A popular and prolific poet during his lifetime, Moore's anthology contains classical poems with bold imagery of nature, love and beauty. His first book of verse, his anthology caught the attention of fellow poet Laurence Binyon and was praised by William Butler Yeats, who described him as "one of the most exquisite poets writing in England".
Moore's anthology contains 41 poems, including the Vinedresser, as well as hidden gems like September Twilight and Semele. Moore dedicates his anthology to his parents.
Condition
In the publisher's original green cloth boards. Externally, smart. Slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine, as well as to the board extremities. Small signs of shelf wear and handling marks. Offsetting to the end papers, with the odd spot. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean. The odd spot to the extremities, with spotting most apparent to leaves on pages 2-12.
