Reprint, originally published in 1890. With a portrait frontispiece. A collection of poetry from Matthew Arnold, an English poet and cultural critic who worked as an inspector of schools. His work has often characterised him as a sage writer, who chastises and instructs the reader on contemporary social issues.
Condition
Bound in full brown crushed morocco. Externally, very smart with minor fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot to the endpapers.
