The 'Sixpenny Series' edition. First published in 1886. 

Bound in crushed half morocco with marbled paper to the boards, and floral gilt details to the spine. 

Rudyard Kipling's first collection of verse, including works such as 'Departmental Ditties', 'To the Unknown Goddess' and 'Arithmetic on the Frontier". Kipling was a popular English journalist, poet and author best known for his work 'The Jungle Book'.

Condition

Bound in crushed half morocco. Externally excellent with fading to the spine, slight rubbing to the fore edge. Internally firmly bound with age toned pages and the odd spot, heavier to the front and rear.
