This work was written by Sir George Macaulay Trevelyan, a British historian. This volume details the siege of Cawnpore, an event during the Indian rebellion of 1857 which saw the uprising against the rule of the British East India Company.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with slight rubbing to the extremities, and the odd very minimal mark to the boards. Offsetting to the endpapers with an ink inscription dated 1905 to the front free endpaper. Internally firmly bound with clean pages with light age toning.
