In the publisher's original decorative cloth binding.

With fifty-two plates (five of which are in colour) and many in-text illustrations by the author. Collated, complete. 

This guide offers commentary on the principles of Church decorations and symbols as appropriate throughout the year, including wreaths and garlands, florals, banners, flags, emblems, holy Apostles and much more. 

Written by Ernest Geldart, an authority on architecture and decoration who was appointed rector of the Church of Saint Nicholas, Little Braxted, Essex in 1881. 

Condition

In the original decorative cloth binding. Externally, with sunning to the cloth, heaviest to the spine. With light rubbing and bumping to the extremities and marks to the boards. Internally, generally firmly bound, with binding tender in places. Pages are bright and clean, with minor offsetting to the endpapers.
