    Early Edition, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

    New impression, published the same year as the first edition. Illustrated with a frontispiece and thirty-six plates. Collated complete. A diary of farming throughout the year providing a thorough explanation of tending to the land and animals across the year, with a chapter for each month. With insight into planting, harvesting and the breeding of farm animals. Written by Sir Henry Rider Haggard, an English writer of adventure fiction romances set in exotic locations and a pioneer of the lost world literary genre. Illustrated by George Leon Little, a British artist known for his rural landscapes. With publisher's catalogue to the rear.

    Condition

    In the original full blue cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot or handling mark. Minor age toning to the endpapers with the previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown.
