Colour Plates, Illustrated, Leather Binding

A new edition of this richly illustrated series, complete in four volumes.

Illustrated with seventy-seven plates to volume I; seventy-five to volume II; seventy-nine to volume III, and eighty-eight to volume IV. Collated, complete.

'Flowering Plants' is the magnum opus of botanical and ornithological illustrator and author, Anne Pratt, a project which explores more than 1,500 species, published over the course of a decade.

Pratt utilised an affordable method of chromolithography in order to create the wonderful coloured illustrations throughout.

The resulting colour plates, of which there are plenty, offer a lovely visual aid throughout the volumes.
