Twelve volumes from the Albany edition of the works of Lord Macaulay. A miscellany of impressions: new impressions vols I-VII, IX-X (1905-7), first thus vols. VIII, XI-XII (1898). Comprising Thomas Babington Macaulay's complete works, including his commended work The History of England in six volumes, as well as essays and biographies in four volumes, and miscellanies in two volumes. A delightful group rebound in uniform half calf signed Hatchards. Each volume complete with half title and frontispiece portrait of the author.
Lord Macaulay was a British historian and prominent Whig politician.

Condition
Rebound in half calf over cloth covered boards. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only, light rubbing to back strip, joints, front joint only starting to vol. 12, boards holding firm. Sir William Eden's armorial bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Occasional minor spotting to endpapers, otherwise pages bright and clean.
