Fridtjof Nansen is considered a legend of Norway, gaining prominence throughout his life as an explorer, scientist, diplomat, humanitarian and co-founder of the Fatherland League. He led a number of Arctic expeditions and was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1922 for his relief work after World War I. 

In this volume he offers a fascinating account of the expedition that became the first to cross Greenland's inland, in which he led five of his companions.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with minor fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with only minor offsetting to the endpapers.
