The Studio was an illustrated fine arts and decorative arts magazine published from 1893 until 1964. The magazine exerted a major influence on the development of the Art Nouveau and arts and crafts movements.
This particular issue explores various bookplate styles, presenting the techniques and examples of modern designers including J. J. Waugh, Laurence Housman, Gordon Craig, and many others.
Illustrated throughout with examples of bookplates.
Condition
Bound in full cloth, with the original wraps and advertisements bound in. Externally, very smart, with light fading to spine and the odd mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with a few handling marks and light edge wear to original outer wraps.
