Edward Lear was an English artist, illustrator, musician and poet who is widely known as the writer of an original kind of nonsense verse and as the popularizer of the limerick. 

This collection demonstrates his humour through an illustrated series of said limericks, comprising both verses from the original 'Book of Nonsense' and many new additions.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with rubbing to the extremities, most notably to the spine. A few marks to the boards. Hinges are tender. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright, but generally clean, with offsetting to the half title and only the odd spot to the contents.
