Both volumes of this very scarce general index, with volume I being A-I, and volume II being L-Z.
This index was compiled by the Assistant-Secretary of the society, L. L. Belinfante, with the entries encompassing a significant period in the study of geology, during which many scientific advancements and discoveries were made.
In a half morocco signed binding by Sizer, with the publisher's original front and rear paper wraps of each volume bound in.
With the stamp of the Linnean Society of London to the title page of volume I, and the front wrap of volume II.
Condition
In a half morocco signed binding, with marbled paper covered boards. With the publisher's original front and rear wraps bound in to each volume. Major rubbing to morocco. Front joint starting, with board tenderly held to head only. Internally, firmly bound. Library stamp to title page of volume I, and tail of front wrap of volume II. Pages clean and bright.
