    Description

    Leather Binding

    In the original French.

    This work provides an index of nearly six thousand operas, with information on their plot, significant actors, and the year of their first production.

    Compiled by French grammarian, lexicographer and encyclopaedist Pierre Athanase Larousse, and Felix Clement.

    Undated; dated 1897 via Jisc.

    With a former owner's inscription to the front pastedown, and with four pages of advertisements to the rear.

    Condition

    In a full morocco binding, with light rubbing to joints and back strip tail. Front hinge strained, but firmly held. Inscription to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age toned to perimeters, with the light spotting to page perimeters.
